Things to know…

  • Yes, I'm happy to step into a specific role depending on what your project needs. As part of the Miloco engineering roster I'm available as a tracking engineer in professional studio environments, and I take on standalone mixing and production projects from my own studio.

That said, I find the best results usually come from some overlap - a mixer who understands the production, or an engineer who's thinking about the bigger picture. So wherever possible I like to have a conversation about the project before we start.

  • As an engineer I'm used to working across all genres and environments. As a producer and mixer I generally work with alternative, indie, left-leaning pop and electronic artists who have a strong sense of creative self - and want a collaborator to help realise that sonically.

I also regularly work as a co-producer, allowing artists to retain their own process while I bring new skills and ideas.

  • Most of my work is in ProTools and Ableton.

ProTools is where I track, edit and mix. Prioritising session flow whether in a large studio or my own. Ableton is where I experiment, develop ideas and programme. I've built a deeply personal system in there designed for flexibility and creative momentum.

My studio is full of equipment to add texture and character; analogue synths, guitars, a collection of boutique pedals, modded cassette recorder and a tape machine.

  • The records and artists I keep returning to are ones that feel honest and lived-in; some of my favourites are Mount Kimbie, Big Thief, The Velvet Underground.

  • Almond Croissant. Layla Bakery. :)
